ABOUT
I will be graduating in May 2025, from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in Geosciences, Broadcast Meteorology with a minor in Communication. My passion for the weather, the experiences I have had with weather phenomena, and my education will enable me to contribute effectively.
Weather phenomena such as tornadoes, hurricanes, flooding, and rare snowstorms that I experienced during my childhood inspired me from an early age to pursue a career as a meteorologist. As I have grown older, I have learned the science behind the weather phenomenon and the importance of the job that meteorologists have in keeping communities alert and weather aware which has further grown my passion.
During my time at Mississippi State University, I have had the opportunity to learn and weathercast the weather in real-time. I have also had the chance to serve in various leadership and membership roles in the Omicron Chapter of Beta Upsilon Chi Fraternity, as a Senator on the Mississippi State University Student Association, and in the East Mississippi NWA and AMS, which has been beneficial in providing learning and networking opportunities.
I am a self-sufficient, team player with the ability to work independently, who is eager to learn from and serve others. I am confident my enthusiasm, skills, and strong work ethic will translate well, and make a positive contribution as a Meteorologist. My experiences as a Weather Intern at WBRC, in Birmingham, AL, social media intern with Memphisweather.net, and Campus Connect Forecaster, along with the practical applications of my education have prepared me for the fast-paced news and weather environment.
